Why this one
- Pay once, own forever — no subscription, ever. A subscription tracker can cost £280+ over three years; we're a single price.
- Private by design — works offline, no account required, and we never sell your data.
- Right rate, any country — the official mileage rate for your country (UK HMRC, US IRS, Canada CRA, Australia ATO and more), kept current.
- Audit-ready records — clean, tax-year-ready logs you can export to PDF or CSV for your accountant. MTD-ready export for the self-employed.
- Knows which car — designed to recognise each of your vehicles automatically, so there's nothing to fiddle with each trip.
- Fix it on your phone — edit, merge or split a trip right there; never forced onto a website to correct a drive.
Private by design
Your data is yours. The app is built to work offline, with no account required, and we never sell your data.
- See it for yourself — a built-in privacy dashboard shows exactly what's stored on your phone — and names the one thing that leaves it, the map and postcode lookups that draw your route.
- Built on open map data, not Apple or Google — so your trips stay on your phone, with no per-user map fees feeding a subscription. Why we chose this →
- No lock-in — export everything, any time.
Why we don't use Apple or Google Maps
We deliberately didn't build Mileage Tracker on Apple's or Google's maps — two reasons, both for you. Your data stays yours: your drives, times and classifications are kept on your phone, with no account, and we never sell them. To draw your route and look up postcodes, coordinates go to our own no-log server and the map tiles come from OpenStreetMap — never to an ad network. And you pay once: those mapping services charge per user, every month, and at scale that lands back on you as a subscription. Open map data lets us keep your trips on your device and keep the app a single one-off purchase.
Pricing
The model is simple: try it free, pay once to keep it. One purchase, yours forever.
- Try before you buy
A free trial built in — confirm the capture works on your phone, with your driving, before you commit. Exact trial length set at App Store launch. - One-time unlock
A single in-app purchase (target tier £14.99 — final price set at launch). No renewal, no auto-bill, no "premium tier" added later. Final pricing pending the §4 capture-acceptance gate. - No subscription. Ever.
Subscription trackers run to £280 or more over three years — and several raised their prices in 2026. With Keepwright, you pay once. - What happens at year-end
A new tax year's mileage doesn't trigger a new fee. The app keeps tracking; the next year's HMRC AMAP rate (or your country's equivalent) auto-updates inside the existing purchase.
